Moraine Tracking Club offers year-round training for all experience levels.  Although we track at several locations around the Lincolnshire / Half Day area, our main meeting place is the Lincolnshire Corporate Center.

MTC also hosts several AKC approved tracking tests per year.  Please see our EVENTS page for details.

You do not need to be a member of the Moraine Tracking Club in order to participate in our training sessions or enter our tracking tests, but we welcome you to join!

Our instructors have decades of experience.  From article games to starting routines, they've got tons of tricks and tips up their collective sleeves to help you succeed.

Tracking is a team sport and odds are, your dog is going to be WAY better, WAY sooner than you will!  Learning to read your dog and understand what it is trying to tell you will be instrumental to your team's success. One of the absolute best ways to do this is to lay track for other tracking teams.  This is not difficult.  We'll walk you through it... literally.   Every student is expected to lay a track during every training session.  You'll be amazed at how much you learn about what your dog is saying by watching someone else's.

You will be training in multiple locations on many different terrain types and in various weather conditions.  Please see our
FAQ page for helpful information on the gear you will need to keep you and your dog safe and comfortable.

Our spring training session runs from January to May.  Classes are held on Sunday mornings beginning at 8:00 AM.  Class openings are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis with preference given to Moraine Tracking Club members and non-members who have tracked with us during the previous session.

Our eight-week summer training session is held in June and July and offers non-members a great opportunity to give tracking a try.  The summer tracking session classes are held at the Lincolnshire Corporate Center on a pay-as-you-go basis.  Classes are held on Sunday mornings beginning at 7:30 AM.

Our fall training session runs from September to January.  Classes are held on Sunday mornings beginning at 8:00 AM.  Class openings are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis with preference given to Moraine Tracking Club members and non-members who have tracked with us during the previous session.

Classes may be cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or tracking test scheduling conflicts.  Please contact the club Secretary for additional information.
